Day 7 - around Chatham

The day started very wet and miserable.  We took our time getting going and then drove around a bit to get our bearings of Chatham. It is a lovely village with interesting shops and a lovely lighthouse. The area just in front of the lighthouse was deserted in the rain and there was poor visibility so no view to speak of.

We decided we needed some rain wear so we stopped at a likely shop in Chatham and bought a pair of Helly Hanson's! Of course the minute we stepped out of the shop it was dry. We had a snack at a small sandwich shop up the street and then ventured back to the car, sussing out the local hostelries as we did so.

We decided to drive up to Provincetown at the tip of the Cape and found a quirky, very gay friendly town with interesting shops and houses. The weather dried up  and the sun made an appearance so pics were taken in this lovely town.

Back to Chatham, we changed and got ready to try a pub in the centre of the village called Squire. This proved to be an excellent place for our purposes. We got chatting to a semi-resident who was there for some golf. Meantime, Europe had just won the Ryder cup so we were none too popular.  We had chicken wings and some lobster bisque and then made our way back to the motel where we ended the evening with some more beer and wine.
